The LGBTQ community has statistically faced violence an extremely high rate of violence. But there’s one component that has been a part of Pride that is even more overlooked: remembrance. While Pride started as a political demonstration, it has become significantly less so in recent years, though this year, some protests did make headlines.
There are rainbows everywhere, tight clothing, loud music, dancing and lots of glitter. Nowadays, Pride looks like one big party.
